Artist Unto Kaski
While at sea, Unto Kaski drew and painted portraits of ships, also to order. Kaski contracted a serious disease while sailing during the war. He was treated in a Danish sanatorium, where he attended an oil painting course.
Kaski returned to Rauma in 1946; he painted ship portraits as his main work for seven years. He started his career as graphic artist in the 1960’s. He was Board member in Rauma Artists’ Association for 30 years, and he was charter member of Rauma Graphic Artists’ Association.
